I’m currently testing the deployment of Internet Explorer 5.5 company-wide over IE4. A custom IE5.5 package is developed using IEAK 5.5 with the options setup to perform a quiet install without any admin privileges required by the user.
However when a domain user logs on with normal domain user privileges onto their machine and IE5setup is run, the machine prompts the user that administrator rights is required for the install and terminates. I wasn’t expecting to see this error as there is an option during the custom build in IEAK 5.5 to allow a user to preform the install wihout any admin rights…..
Anyone can shed some light on this?
