I have done a search and seen a few other people with the simlar problem as I am having. When I restart my computer I get my blank desktop background with no icons and no task bar.
I am able to start the computer in safe mode and all the icons appear again. but then going back to normal mode… I get the same problem.
I’ve tried to get it to restore back to the last known good configuration, but no luck again, it just stops at the screen again.
When the desktop wallpaper comes up, the cursor moves, but ctl-alt-del doess’nt work, and right clicking also does nothing.
In safe mode, i can go to c-alt-del and get into the task manager. I am able to type in explorer.exe… a window appears, entitled, “my documents”…. i think something beyond is supposed to come up. I don’t have a xp disc either…
i really don’t konw what to do..
If anyone could help me, i’d be very greatful.
