Desktop marking software

Does anybody know where I can go to find software that will, at a press of a key, emulate an actual pen on the desktop. Example: I want to hook my computer to a projector and at certain screen shots…press a key… a pen pops up rather than the cursor and I can highlight or circle a particular area on the desktop. At a press of the escape key, all my marking disappears again.

WinPointer sounds like the one I need but I have to subscribe to the magazine before I can download. I don’t need that mag
