I am running Excel 97. I have several icons that point to various files on different drives. When I click on the icon, excel starts to open and then an error comes up saying that the path is invalid or library files are missing. I have recreated and no luck. If I go to my computer and select the drive and file and click from there….same problem. If I open excel….then I can open the files. What’s up?
