Details of a helpdesk Solution

by cdavis . Updated 17 years, 6 months ago

Me and my colleague are having a debate on sending the user a fully detailed resolution on their issue. One of us argues that we should want to teach the user how to resolve his own issues. Thus, detail the resolution for the user so he can use this informatio in the future and use it. One of us agrees that details are not necessary to send to the user because they simply need to have a brief understanding of the resolution because it is our problem not theirs and that is why we are there to make is easy on them.
Can someone give us some facets or a perspective on this?
