Determining Logins

By mkirton ·
Is there a way to determine login activity on a NT 4 server in which login/logout is NOT being audited? Is there another place to look?

Thanks

Determining Logins

If you want to know who is connected and for how long, then you can go to Server Manager and select Properties of the server in question. Then select Users and you can see who is connected and for how long.

Other than that, I don't know of any built in methods in NT that will log connections for users. There are third party utilities but you might as well use NT's auditing features if you're going to install any other app.

Good luck.
