Dfs and NAS

by suneet.arora . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

In our environment we have Windows 2000 file servers. Some of them are running out of space so to put a quick solution in place we got a NAS device and have tried to create a DFS. All goes well till the time you create a DFS share but when you try to access it it gives you a message ‘Not Authorized to access’. We have checked all the permissions and for some reason can’t seem to be able to change the security permissions for ‘Everyone’ as it reverts back to default – which is – No permissions.

Any suggestions?
