DFS Continually loses drive mapping

by joegrosskopf . Updated 18 years, 2 months ago

I recently upgraded from a Windows 2000 server to Windows 2003 server. The windows 200 server had a DFS. I created a new one on the 2003 server. The new DFS has a different name. I had mapped a network drive letter (L) to the old DFS using a net use command in a login script. I changed the net use command to use the same letter and point to the new DFS. Some users get the new location, some don’t. Some get the new location only to lose the drive letter in the middle of the day and I have to connect again using net use. Thsi never happened on my 2000 server.
