General discussion

Last December we put to rest all of our old NT servers and set up shop with Win2K3. We did a complete cut over- no migration.

Everything has worked fine except DHCP. My clients can not obtain a dynamic address from the DHCP server.

I have checked everything I know to check. I set the current DHCP server up based on the settings on the old NT boxes.

I have not been able to find any good troubleshooting tips on the web.

I sure could use some advise here. Up to this point, I have given all users static ip addresses but I would really like to get DHCP working.

Would be helpful if you could describe your problem a little bit.

Btw. You did auhorize the DHCP Server? (Right-Click on the Server in the Snap-in)

sounds like a DNS problem.. not pointing to your DHCP server. If you used all the old settings, they won't work. 1. Is this a DC? Did you join your computers to a domain? or is it a peer to peer? (just a group of computers which access some services like DHCP.) Either way, you must point your computers to the DHCP by some means. In NT it was only by WINS. In W2,3K by DNS. DNS server should be setup. email me for a detailed setup.
