I have an NT server that is running DHCP to assign IP addresses to all of my workstations. I have a few workstations (all WIN 2K Pro) that are spuratically dropping off the network. WHen I run ipconfig at a DOS prompt it shows an IP address assigned to the PC that resides in the reserved IP range on the DHCP server. Why is my server handing out reserved IP addresses? How do I release the IP address from the PCs? They do not show up in the DHCP manager so I have no way to revoke the IP. Does anyone have any ideas?
