I have a little problem with Dynamic update. Most of it is fine and works without problem.
Before I start it’s Win2K DHCP and Bind DNS.
Most of the computers on the network (mainly Win 2k Pro) don’t appear to have a fully qualified domain name. Which means they are not registering full records (ie they register an address-to-name, but not a name-to-address).
The DNS domain name option is set in DHCP, but Win2K doesn’t appear to append this to it’s host name.
Any one know any way Ican make it append automatically? Don’t particularly want to walk around them all and do it!!
