    DHCP on W2K Server

    Locked

    by rotocron ·

I have multiple dns domains in my environment. Which means that all my static IP users must manually enter these additional 2 DNS domains into the “DNS Suffix Search Order” list. The problem that I have found, is that my desktop guys also have to put this same information into the DHCP clients as well. I don’t see a DHCP server option that will populate this list automatically, is there a way to do it? Because the Dynamic of DHCP is not so dynamic for me…….

    Thanks for any info!

You can try to use “015 DNS Domain Name” like this:
      “mydomain.com;under.mydomain.com;another.under.mydomain.com”.
Basically I put “;” between entries.
If it works let me know.
Another way would be trough group policy.
I am still working on that.

      Anyway good luck!
