I have done this and now I cannot connect to the Internet. Foolishly I know I did not back up my registry!! I have an Acer travel mate running windows Vista. I need to be talked through a reinstall process to fix my error not being ( as you can see) totally computer literate. I am ( as you can also see) prepared and interested to ‘have a go ‘ myself and would like to fix this myself but need some help. Think of it as a learning process if only to learn to leave well alone!! CAN ANY ONE HELP? Ok, no replies? I guess no one can help. Maybe it’s too simple but I just can’t see an answer. My solution is going to have to be erase the whole memory and save as much info as I can befor hand!! Drastic , I know, but what else can I do? Without internet all I’ve got is a type writer !!
