DHCP - Server 2003 or Router

By customer.service ·
We currently have one Server 2003 supporting 10 users. DHCP is handled by the router. I was wondering if it would be best to run DHCP through the Server box or leave it. Are there any ramifications of keeping it how it is?

If it's only 10 users I'd be ok with letting the router do it unless you have specific security concerns. If the number of users start growing, or the router starts having problems you might look into moving the DHCP service onto the server box, but for now it's probably not worth the effort.

not really

I have to agree with Kjel. For 10 users I would just like it as it is. There's no real administration involved, and there won't be any performance concerns either. If it currently works, why risk breaking it.
