Well, prior to starting with the company I am with, the system administrator used routable IP address from the class C subnet the company leases fro internal clients. I decided this was not logical and wanted to configure DHCP for the LAN. Some background for troubleshooting sake. The LAN has about 100 nodes, small network, only one gateway/Router. My first attempt was configuring my PDC for DHCP, and had a hell of a time since I had forgot to change the IP address to the Subnet I was using for my internal network. Hence, nothing could find a DHCP server. Anyway I was finally able to gather a password error and the DHCP log showed a assigned IP address to the client computer, However, now I have lost the ability for personnel to login to the PDC. WINS is also setup on the PDC. I assume I have this problem since I have used my PDC. My next attempt will be with a stand alone server running DHCP and attempt that.. Any hints?? Help??
Thanks,
Dan
