I have an Arris CM450 cable modem which I use to connect to the internet and lately I’ve been having trouble with it dropping the signal. I today the modem has tried to aquire a new IP from my ISP DHCP but has been unsuccessful 2500 and counting. The internet is still function normally though with no issues. I also use a Dlink DI-624 router to share the internet connection to 3 computers. I’ve tried various solutions to the DHCP problem such as resetting the modem and the router, removing the router and connecting directly none of which worked. AS far as the connection drop goes unplugging seems to work sometimes for a while but the conncetion drops again. Here is the event log for the Cable modem:

17000100 SYNC Timing Synchronization failure – Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing
13000300 DHCP WARNING – Non-critical field invalid in response
8010100 DHCP RENEW sent – No response
If anyone has any ideas on these issue your help is greatly appreciated.
