dial up

hello i drought that any one in the world no anything about dial up connection because it is so old it is even older than me. but any way will fixing someones computer i have removed viruses and other crap like that. so when i drop of the computer the internet does not work and the lady does have a dial tone. she connects through AOL. i have never had to deal with dial up before so i do not have much experience with it at all if any one has any suggestions to it i will be more than happy to hear from you
