I have a W2k/Exchange 2k server running RAS with Win 98 clients(static ip’s) running Outlook 2000. I’ve set up a dial-up connection to the network for my laptop users to retrieve email. I can connect and authenticate to the network and have access to files, however, when Outlook is opened it prompts for logon credentials to connect to the exchange server. WHen the proper credentials are entered, it tells the user that the credentials are incorrect. We had this setup before on our NT4 server and as soon as we were connected to the network, Outlook would open and send and receive without asking to login to the Exch server. Is it a Win2k RAS issue or an Outlook issue and how do I fix it? Please help.
