    Dial-up Connection – Remember Password
My Dial-up connection refuses to remember my password.
I am using Office 2000, on Windows 2000.
It worked perfectly with Office 2000 on NT 4.0.
I have looked around the usual menus, tried new dial-up connections.
The ****** remain, but it does not recognise the password and every time I have to type it in manually.
    Any ideas?

Check out this doc on the Microsoft support database:
Q242532 – Custom User Names and Passwords for Dial-Up Connections Lost After
      Upgrade to Windows 2000

Basically, it says to enter the properties on your connection, click on the Options tab and put a check next to “Prompt for name and password, certificate, etc.”

      Alternative #1:
      Script your logon.

enter the properties on your connection.
      click on the Security tab.
put a check next to “run script”, then click on “Edit” and cook a script for your logon.
