Here’s a major problem that I can’t find any answers to. I just got a new computer with Win98 SE this month, and everything was fine, until I tried to dial in. At the time of the first problem, I had AOL 5.0 (I know I know, it’s horrible) and NetZero. When I tried dialing in with either one of those, my display would freeze, and NetZero wouldn’t even start dialing. When I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del I saw that Msgsrv32 was Not Responding. So I end tasked it, and the display came right back to functioning, and NetZero would start dialing. However, msgsrv32.exe (I later learned) is essential for certain things within windows. The main function is that it stabilizes and restarts the explorer shell when in fact it crashes. So any time explorer shut down when I was online, and Ctrl+Alt+Del reboot was the only way to get out of the problem. Also there were more minor problems with the display after end tasking Msgsrv32. The Msgsrv32 would also stop responding anytime a call came in while thephone line was plugged into the comp (without me being online). I reformatted, reinstalled EVERYTHING, and the problem STILL occurs. I don’t know what to do, I’ve been searching for an answer. Can someone who knows what they’re doing please help me get rid of this error. I’ve tried so many proposed solutions that haven’t worked. Thank you very much to whoever can help.
