Dial-Up Networking popup to access PC

by slalrsl . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

Running W2K Pro w/SP1. I have a Peer to Peer Network of two other PC’s that are Win98 SE. If the other two PC’s are powered down and I bring up my W2K PC I get a Dial-Up Networking PopUp message that reads as such —> Windows cannot access “PC Name”. Would you like to connect to a network ? I had a printer shared to print to from my W2K PC to each of the other PCs. I deleted the printer from my W2K PC for one of the PCs and that fixed the PopUp box for that PC. So I guess I must have some sort of persistant connection configured for the shares on the two PCs for the printers at least. How can I get rid of the connection without deleting the printer for the other PC ????
