Hi all,
In brief I have a domain with 1 PDC & 1 BDC, the PDC has the IP 172.16.1.1 with 255.255.255.0 subnet mask, DHCP is installed with scope 172.16.1.30 to 172.16.1.100.
I want to connect to the domain remotely, so I have installed RAS & configured to let clients with static IP (from 172.16.1.15 to 172.16.1.29), till now I don’t have any problem….
From the remote computer with Windows 98 OS with static IP 172.16.1.15, when I try to connect, it connects, (before connection Iget a messages means that there isn’t any domain) but when I type ipconfig command from the command prompt I get the following IP & Subnet:
IP: 172.16.1.16
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
I can ping the server, but I can’t see any of the computer on the network neighborhood neither the server.
Would you please help me? Or tell me the right configuration for the clients (Dial UP)
