DIAL UP PROBLEM

Yes I know, dial-up, but lets move on….. I need to connect my laptop in this way.

So I dial-up and get the notification of being connected, but when I try to browse the web I get the message “server cannot be found” – using both IE and FFox. Email doesn’t connect either. I’ve tried pinging 127.0.0.1 and get a response – but when I ping a website i.e. www.bbc.co.uk no success. I think I need to flush the DNS cache or release some other type of setting, but don’t know how to do this, can anybody help please?
