Sony Vaio laptop with WinXP, has dialup, but recently it developed a problem, if the connection was terminated, it would not reconnect without shutdown and restart. It gives an error message, ‘The modem is in use by another application.’ So somehow, it has not disconnected, and can only reconnect if it is shutdown and restarted. Help please?
