Dialup internet in windows XP

I am having a problem in windows XP. When I try to setup a internet telephone access through the wizard, the option to select access via the telephone is grayed out. The only option that is available is for a high speed without a password. I was wondering if you had any tricks to solve this problem. Thank you for your cooperation and have a pleasant day.
