Digital Movie Apps / Apple’s Partnership With Movies Anywhere

Are there any indications that Apple would and its partnership with Movies Anywhere in the near future (thus forcing those with an Apple digital movie library to subscribe to AppleTV and/or only access the library through Apple products)?

I would not see any reason why they wouldn’t end such a relationship to boost their profits for their investors. Welcome to Economics 101 and the American way of life.

If you want proof, just look at the history of Apple. My family got an Apple II computer (feel free to Google it) in 1977 and back then you could only buy software and hardware directly from Apple stores and nowhere else until the Federal Government stepped in just like they did with Microsoft and Intel. This was long before the iPhone became reality.

Apple had not announced any plans to end its partnership with Movies Anywhere or force users to access their digital movie libraries exclusively through Apple products or Apple TV. Movies Anywhere is a digital movie locker service that allows users to consolidate their movie libraries from various platforms, including Apple, into one central location. Apple was one of the initial partners when Movies Anywhere launched in 2017, along with other major movie studios and digital platforms.

It’s worth noting that companies may change their strategies and partnerships over time, so it’s always a good idea to stay updated with the latest news and announcements from Apple regarding their digital movie services and partnerships. Checking official Apple announcements or reaching out to their customer support directly would provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.
