Direct the path when using Print to File

By don.lipsett ·
I am migrating numerous users from NT to XP. Currently they have Laserjet 3 local dummy printers setup, that when they print a file, select print to file, there is a browsable path area that will retain the path they last use. In XP the output file name window pops up and there is no way to browse the path. Does anyone know a way to change the default location a file will save to? It appears to currently save to the root of C:, and I would like it to save to a mapped network drive.

I suspect it has something to do with the driver you are using. Ihave an IBM infoprint1332N and when I print to a file it brings up a browsable dialog box. Have you checked to see if you have the latest drivers?
