Disable domain name change at logon

By pacetech ·
How can I prevent users altering the domain name in the logon box of winxp pro client machines running on an NT network. It would be ideal if it could be greyed out.

If your domain Trusts other domains, then there is no way to remove the domain drop-down window. The other Trusted domains are there so users can log into their domain from any Trusted domain machine. I have never heard of a method to disable this in domain members with Trusts.

If you could remove the Trusts, then the other domains would not be there. But that is not a good solution.

sorry for the bad news.

I always click on the option tab to hide the other domains. This prevents some users from accidently changing the domain. You may also a group policy.
