Disable Execution of Programs from the F

By jon.irish ·
I would like to disable all users (except Admins) from being able to execute programs from their floppy drives. They still need to be able to read and write to them, but not execute. I have looked at the NT Resource Kit Util floplock.exe, but it is not flexible enough. I would prefer to do this via a profile setting, but I will take any method available.

Thanks,
Jon

There are some programs out there like Full Armor and Windshield that may help you. But you need to keep in mind that if the users are sneeky enough all they have to do is copy the exe to harddrive and run it from the HD. I assume you are wanting tostop them from running or installing unwanted software. Good luck.

To be fully effective, you are really looking at a third party product for software metering (from e.g., WRQ, MS SMS, CA Unitcenter, etc.).
