Disable Java Web Page Popup CGI scripts

By jhendricksjr ·
Does anyone know how to disable at the client browser level JAVA or CGI Popup page scripting? ALT-F4 will usually close the windows but not always. Any help would be much appreciated.

Get a browser that does it.
Opera and Mozilla both have options to not allow scripts to open unrequested windows. Mozilla works better, IMO. I use it. Haven't seen a popup yet.

Otherwise, you'll need a third party application (popup killer) or add-on or you'd need to disable scripts all together, which usually isn't feasible.

It depends how hard you want to be.

If you want to block all Java, choose the browser -->internet option -->security-->custom--> choose the JAVA applets--> stop
(if you want to choose : indicate)
