Disable network node

By bc42bike ·
Is there any way to disable a network node (automatically) at a predetermined time everyday? Leave active in a secure reception area during the day and in the evening disable the node.

Disable network node

Using an NT network you can force the disconnect of a user by setting up a time limit and choosing the forcefull disconnect feature in the user manager. Give the users account a time frame ( ie .. 8am-5pm ) then have them forcefully disconnected when there time expires. If that user tries to login again, they will be denied access to that workstation. This is only very effective if you are limiting the workstations that user can logon to.

Hope this helps, and or gives you a direction.

Good Luck!

Another solution is to disable the port on the switch.
