Disable profile-based map drives

by msavignac . Updated 23 years, 4 months ago

Hi,

I made a mistake of connecting network drive during the configuration on an image. The Default User profile contains a U:\ drive.

Now the server on which the drive is connected was removed from the network. So, everytime a new user log on to a computer, the network drive is conencted, but point to nowhere… That make Windows Explorer and Office applications buggy because they try to reconnect the drive and a time out occur, and then the programs opens (it can take up to 1 min).

I want to know if there a way to disconnect this network drive based on 2 conditions :

1- the network drive must be connected to U:
2- if the condition 1 is true, the network drive is disconnected

I’m not a programming guru, so if you can help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help !
