Disable the hidden shares

Hello Areyes,

In order to permanently disable hidden admin shares, you will need to perform a registry hack as follows:
-Navigate to \HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters.
-Create the DWORD KEY AutoShareServer.
-The Data value for this key must be 0.
-Reboot the server. Once the server's back up, none of the Admin Shares will be present.
For further information, check out Microsoft's Knowledge base article Q288164.
