Hi? am a support technician for a company that installs Telephone call logging software.
Recently I tried to install the software on a clients computer running win xp. But as soon as I tried to run set up and replace *.dll and *.ocx files, Windows was unable to register them in the registry. when I checked the event viewer, it showed that windows file protection had detected file of an older version being copied, and had stopped that. We dont have an updated installation pack cozz the company that used to provide us with the sofware (we resell the software) closed shop recently.
Please help me, how can I disable windows file protection in Win xp so that I can run setup of older *.dll and *.ocx files???
