Disabling last known user in DUNs

By potter ·
In Windows 98SE, I have loaded system policy editor and disabled last known user and password caching. This is successful for the Windows logon and Client for Microsoft Networks logon, but it does not work for the last known user in the Dial-Up Networking logons. There is no .PWL, where is Windows storing this information and how do I disable it?? The only choice for Dial-Up Networking in Policy Editor is to disable dial-up, which I don't want. Any Help???

Disabling last known user in DUNs

I had this similar problem. Since I had IE installed I just made a dummy DUN account and had IE point to it by default. I used a username of XXX and password of the same. This met my needs so I didn;t pursue it further.
TweakUI might take care of it as well.

The information is stored in the registry, but I couldn't find a tweak to disable the disable the user name save.

control of information by government is no longer possible. information is now transnational; like money, information has no "fatherland." since information knows no national boundaries, it will form new "transnational" communities of people who, maybe without ever seeing each other in the flesh, are in communion because they are in communication.
