disabling plug +play

How do I set my Win98 system up so it stops asking to “install new hardware found” at every boot-up. I have all the proper drivers installed and I don’t want anyone to click “yes” and mess it up! I have searched the NET all day and i can’t find anything on this topic. Thanks, Mary
