disabling print

By magan.stephens ·
Is there a way I can protect my web pages from being printed or is there a way I can disable "print screen"? I'm sure there isn't but someone told me there was a way without putting all the files into PDF.
Thanks

If you you are asking can you prevent someone on another machine viewing your site from printing it. Then the answer is no.
You cant prevent me from printing it out or using print screen.

PDF files are useful to keep people from altering something on your site. For example your webpage is sharing Timesheet Templates for employees.

A real half-assed method is to use white text on a dark background. When the user prints, they get nothing because the white text is on white paper. This often mystifies teachers and students at our school to no end.

This won't fool tech-savvy folks at all, as they can simply copy & paste, print screen, etc. But at least you might trim out the less technology-literate folks.
