Disabling right click?

By jf2k3 ·
On my domain none of the users are able to right click web pages. I think this may be because of a group policy? Does anyone know what policy it is what could be stopping them right clicking?

they only thing I've heard of doing this is a javascript.
used to try to stop saving images from websites.
if you find it's a policy setting let me know what it is, so I can sell that data to 250,000 people.
after all, to disable the javascript no right click you just have to turn javascript off.

Well a few things would help here.

Firstly are you the Sys Admin for the Domain?

Secondly what is the Domain running on Windows 2K Windows 2003. Some form of Unix/Linux or what?

If you're not the System Admin why do you want to know?

There was a reason for putting this in place and if you are not supposed to be able to use these features why do you want to?

Also just how old is the Domain controller, what is it running exactly and what type of OS is on the Domain workstations?

On the server there is a policy the one shown below if this is enabled this will stop the right mouse button from being active, but as any admin knows there are ways around this.

User configuration|Administrative Templates|Windows Components|Windows Explorer|Disable Windows Explorer's default context menu.

Why would you want to change something that you put into place in the first instance.
