You can use group policy to change this. from the run command type "gpedit.msc".(quotes not needed) you should see a user configuration group. Look here for Control panel then display. The settings are under display and you will want to enable the restrictions. If you wish to do more, be sure to read how its worded before you enable or disable a feature. You may end up doing the opposite. Since these are user settings they should only effect the user you logged in with.

If you are running a server with active directory or Netware with zenworks(this is what we do) there are ways to push these policies out per user/group.

these settings are basicly changing the registry. If you can find the reg keys you can use a .reg file to make the changes as well. they usually reside under a key called policies under software, and software/microsoft/windows/policies.

Jason

Fortunately, you can automate the disabling and enabling screen saver procedures with a couple of registry shortcuts. Follow these steps:

Launch Notepad and type the following four lines. (Note: The second line must be blank.)

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"ScreenSaveActive"="0"

Save the file to your desktop with the name Disable Screen Saver.reg.
Change the 0 to a 1 in the fourth line.
Save the file to your desktop with the name Enable Screen Saver.reg.

Now, when you need to disable the screen saver, just double-click the Disable Screen Saver.reg shortcut. To enable the screen saver, simply double-click the Enable Screen Saver.reg shortcut.

Keep in mind that when you run either of these files, the Registry Editor will display two confirmation prompts--one before making the change and one after making the change.

Note: Editing the registry is risky, so make sure you have a verified backup before making any changes.

to enableor disablescreensaver tab: Go to Start and Run regedit and go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
if there is a DWORD value such as "NoDispScrSavPage" with a data value of 1 this will disable your screensaver tab, change the value to 0 and your tab will be enabled.
