One of the features missing from Vista/Win7 is the ability to stop Windows Security Center monitoring of Windows Updates. In Windows Security Center under XP, the user could stop the monitoring of Windows Update without the ‘red shield’ appearing. That is not the case in Vista/Win7. Is this true, or am I missing something? I have my own schedule, when it comes to checking for updates, so halting Vista/Win7 monitoring of it would be cool.
