Disappearing Contacts in Outlook 2000

Have a secretrary who has Publishing Editor rights to an exec's mailbox. When the secretary creates a new contact in the exec's mailbox, the contact stays for about half a second and then disappears. But the contact does show up fine in the exec's contact list. Issue began after an upgrade from Office 97 to Office 2000.

Is she marking the contacts as Private (the check box in the bottom right corner)?

Secretary was not marking it as private. But I did fix it. Here is how: opened new contact box, checked the private box then unchecked it. Contact then stayed in the secretary's copy of the exec's mailbox. All subsequent entries worked as well w/out having to check and uncheck.
