I have to locate an agency or organization that can supply technical personnel in the event of an emergency. Skills required would primarily be Active Directory / Windows server administration, Cisco management, and VMware management.
1) I don't hire people and I've never dealt with a job placement, manpower, or staffing firm. What kind of questions should I be asking?
2) Do any of you in SC / NC / GA have a firm you can recommend?
Thanks!

The best company I know for outside IT support and/or disaster recovery is PC Help located in Mt. Pleasant (SE of Charleston). Ask for Charles Wallace and tell him I sent ya.
Hiring tips: Ask for references that you can call on your own. Get commitments in writing! Are they self-insured? Confirm what they consider to be 'expected response time in the event of an emergency.' Ask about 'After Hours Support.' Ask about what proactive disaster recovery plans they can implement and maintain.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
