Disconnected mapped drive

By t_bonee ·
I have a user (CEO actually) who uses a Win98 desktop. His connection to our public drive has started disconnecting every morning when he logs on even though when I reconnect it the 'reconnect at logon' is selected. Anyone got any idea how to fix that?

Thanks.

Tom

Control it with a logon script (assuming you are logging into a domain...)

We log onto a domain and I have a logon on script setup vie active directory and it doesn't make a difference.

Thanks for the idea.

Have you tried creating a batch file that resides on the local PC to map the drive (using the 'net use' command)? Try putting it in the startup folder so that it runs on startup, or even create a shortcut to it on the desktop so that the user can double click on it to create the mapping.
All the best
