I am using Windows Advanced Server 2000 and a mix of Win 2000 Professional and WIN 98 Second Edition Workstations. At the time of login depending on the users’ group we map shares (most of the shares are hidden like “accounts$” shares) to drive letters. We use Kixtart for our login scripts. After a certain amount of time (I am not sure how long) the drives in the My Computer start to show a red cross. Some of our links and DOS based programmes then are unable to locate there resources. It seemslike they are inactive or disconnected.
If we double click on the drive they reconnect.
Can someone please explain what could be the reason and remedy of this situation.
