I would like to assure all who reads this post that I do understand about seriousnes of issue I raise.
Within the last 3 or 4 years I had experienced the same issue while I was interviewed by programmers of India origin: each attempt was made to ask me questions which nobody would able to answer, questions which do not bear any practical value.
I have almoust 20 yr. of successfull carier in IT, multiple current professional certifications. Nevertheless, I know, if I am interviewed by indian collegs – there is no chance to pass an interview or be accepted. I spoke to my friends – all have similar experience. It shows mostly in New York and in a big banks and financial institutions where either this group or IT is dominated by indian programmers.
I can even name few places: Doiche Bank, Chase bank on Water street. While I was interviewed for skills which are area of my specialization, I was said later I did not qualify.
Did anybody had similar experience in New York? Any recommendations?
