almost every time that I start winxp pro, i get a disk check by the software. It never finds anything wrong, is there a way to turn this feature off? Send EMAIL to Sid_Kraft@msn.com. Thanks in advance, Sid Kraft

Hi Sid,
Make sure your Bios does not autodetect Floppy on boot.
XP itself does not check disks, but you may have some anti-virus settings that does that.

You mentioned “almost every time.” Keep track of what you are doing and how you shut the machine down. See if you can pinpoint when the machine runs a disk check.
