Disk Manager - Drives not showing

By bstarkey1954 ·
My 3 SATA drives while showing in Explorer don't show in Disk Manager and as such won't let me make a clone backup using Norton Ghost.

XP Home, Have service pack 3 I believe. Quad Core Intel processor, 4 gig RAM, new build, Gigabyte Mother board EP45 DS3R.

2 Maxtor 500 Gig and 1 Western Digital Black Cariar 640 Gig.

Can I just assign the drive I want in Disk Manager that matches what shows in My Computer or will that mess things up? The are showing as drive C, D, F in My Computer. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Are you running a RAID Array here?

by OH Smeg In reply to Disk Manager - Drives not ...

That is the only reason why the drives should not appear in Drive Manager as they are not individual drives but part of a RAID Array.

However if they are not part of a RAID Array they Must Appear in Drive Management, If they do not they can not appear in Explorer or My Computer.
