I keep getting the error message “Disk or Network Error”, whilst using Access 97 or 2000 runtime versions. This is on a network of minimum 5 machines, the network is also a simple peer to peer network, running at 100mps. I can see other computers and and their folders and files, can even modify the files. The problem only seems to be in the two versions of Access. The software I am using is a bespoke application made in Access, with the data on a computer acting like a server. Each computer as a datapath to the server and a program file stored locally. The datapath is created by a program called Dpcreator.exe. I am wondering this is an Access message file that appears and has been written by the so called programmers (I am led to beleive you can create your own error messages in Access). The Network I installed myself and as been certified on two seperate occasions by outside contractors.
