Diskeeper restarts windows

By anasri ·
Lately I notice that Diskeeper version 9 keeps restarting windows xp on defragmenting drive C where windows is installed when it reached the 12% mark. Is there a solution to this?

try it in safe mode and disable any screensaver or anything running additional to it it should work and try running a disk cleaner on your system before running fragmentation

Diskeeper doesn't seem to run in safe mode. It says theres a service that it required which is not available is safe mode.

You've probably already seen the FAQ page. If not, use this link (even though your problem is not specifically listed, you may have noticed something else listed here which could apply) (http://support.diskeeper.com/support/Support.aspx?Page=5&Subpage=1&cust=1&RId=1&CId=1&SId=5
Also with this link, you can submit a "technical support request". Might be the best use of your time to ask them.

I had trouble with version 9 also & have since gone back to version 8

If you have a copy of Ghost & another HD just create a image of the whole HD to another one & then you can access all your data with Ghost Explorer.
