Hi guys (and gals) again.
recently I got bored and decided to install Ubuntu on an old R30 (previously it had nothing, as I need to find a Windows 2000 CD without any SP’s).
but anyway, my problem is that I am unable to get a full display. that is, on the 1024×768 display, I can only get a resolution of 800×600, about 60% of the screen.
so before you tell me to search the internet, I have, only coming up with solutions that don’t work for me (editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf)

256MB DDR PC133 RAM
160GB hitachi HDD (IDE)
Trident CyberBlade internal graphics (8MB vram)
D-Link DWL-G650M wireless card
14.1″ screen ( 1024×768 )
CD-ROM / 3.5 floppy
